The Vienna Philharmonic, founded in 1842, is one of the most famous orchestras in the world, particularly renowned for its annual televised events - the New Year's Concert from the Musikverein in Vienna as well as the Summer Night Open-Air Concert from the Palace Gardens in Schönbrunn. Both concerts are transmitted worldwide in more than 80 countries.

The Vienna Philharmonic plays at the opera evenings at the State Opera in Vienna and gives over 100 concerts per year worldwide under the direction of some of the most famous conductors of our time.
